If these pictures don't show up very well on your monitor and you're using xview, try changing the gamma value: click right on the photo to get the controls, select ColEdit, then click on "GAM" in the Intensity box (bottom middle). Try setting it higher if the picture is too dark; a value of 1.5 works well on our SPARCstations.
Dan fortuitously had a security conference in Washington, so we
participated in our first march (this was for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual,
and Transgender rights). We marched with the bisexual contingent, of
course. It turned out that a "march" was really more of a "sit and wait
to march," but that gave plenty of time for chatting and taking
pictures, only a few of which appear here.
At the beginning of the party, I was in Dan's leather and
Asya was in
the green dress. Halfway through, we switched clothes and did an
impromptu photo session. The photographer is
Peter Korn. Dan is
wearing one of my dresses.
Stonewall 25 marked the 25th anniversary of the beginning of the gay
rights movement. Dan and I attended (and marched with the bisexual
contingent), sharing a hotel room with many of our friends (see the
bunches of bisexuals). I came down with chicken pox shortly (like an
hour) after the two bunch photos were taken. The night before the
march, we attended the soc.bi party at the Slug Hut.
