Board games
All my life, I've loved board games. I also like card games, video
games, etc., but board games are my overall favorites. Dan
indulges me. My current favorites are:
Settlers
of Catan
-
Probably the best overall game ever!
RoboRally
-
What an amazing game for a programmer! Highly recommended. However,
we've found that it's a good idea to limit the time you get to program
your robot, or the game can literally go all night.
Steve Jackson Games' Hacker
- We now have Hacker II, but haven't tried it out yet.
Civilization
Mayfair "crayon" railroad games.
- Just got "Iron Dragon," the fantasy version. This is great fun;
I recommend it highly. The ships are the best part; the underworld is
the worst.
Rail Baron
Cosmic Encounter
Set
- Learned this one at a friend's birthday party. Unfortunately,
it is not good for the red/green color-blind.
We used to play a lot of
Magic, but have broken
the (expensive!) addiction, at least for now.
